Easterly flow will throw widespread cloudiness over the mid-Atlantic and New
England early in the week.
On Monday, the leading edge of any rain and drizzle will slip northward to
southern New England, southeastern New York and northernmost Pennsylvania. Damp
weather will then make further inroads northward over New York and New England
on Tuesday.
Since offshore, low-pressure will track northeastwards and towards Canada
rather than the Northeast, nearly all of the rain to fall in both the
mid-Atlantic and New England will be on the light side, not to mention
intermittent or spotty. Nonetheless, heavy overcast will make for a dull, gray
scene in the East at the outset of the week.
