  2. TV Advertising Traffic Coordinator: We are looking for a motivated and hard working person to serve as a TV Advertising Traffic Coordinator. You will be responsible for the scheduling, processing, and trafficking of TV advertisements for our Local AccuWeather Channel network. Previous traffic and/or OSI traffic system experience is preferred. You must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  4. Associate Product Marketing Manager: AccuWeather, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy marketing communications professional to be an Associate Product Marketing Manager. This individual will collaborate with senior colleagues in the execution of global marketing campaigns in support of AccuWeather’s content offerings for web, mobile, and convergence. This position is located in State College, PA.

    Responsibilities:
    • Conduct research in web and other sources to support strategy development, campaign planning and the aiming of sales
    • Create tools (emails, collateral, presentations, etc.) to help exceed sales goals
    • Collaborate in creating visibility for the AccuWeather brand and products through direct email and social networking campaigns

    Requirements:
    • Excellent web research and communication skills
    • Experience with online databases and social networking sites
    • Strong search engine, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint skills
    • Self motivated with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    New Media Marketing Intern: Do you spend your days on Facebook? Are you addicted to MySpace? AccuWeather, Inc., a global media company and the world’s leading commercial weather provider, is seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy individual to be a New Media Marketing Intern for this upcoming fall semester. This individual will collaborate with senior colleagues on web research and the use of social networking sites as a marketing tool in the areas of web, mobile and convergence. This paid internship position is located in State College, PA. Core work hours will be flexible, but it will be a part-time work week (up to 20 hours/week).

    Responsibilities:
    • Support the development of creative marketing campaigns by monitoring current trends in technology and identifying ways that AccuWeather.com can use them for viral/grassroots marketing value
    • Aid in the execution of campaigns through research, monitoring, and postings for viral/web-focused marketing activities
    • Assist in maintaining an active presence on social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, etc. by posting content supplied by on-air talent and the marketing department, with the goal of building new, younger audiences
    • Identify online newsgroups, discussion boards, directories, and blogs where weather and online weather are topics of interest, as assigned.

    Requirements:
    • Excellent web research and communication skills
    • Experience with social networking sites
    • Strong search engine, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
    • Self motivated with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  6. Website Development Manager: AccuWeather, Inc. is seeking a Development Manager for AccuWeather.com. This individual will ensure the successful implementation of web-based projects, feeds, and customized client web sites. This will include initiatives involving new deployments, new features, bug fixes, enhancements, and advertising.

    Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate the development, design, and implementation of advertising and advertising placement
    • Ensure search engine optimization with the systematic review of tags and the creation of new tags
    • Closely monitor changes to AccuWeather.com through the entire lifecycle of the project
    • Work with clients, designers, and programmers to ensure accuracy of implementation, look and feel, and timeliness of delivery for custom web sites
    • Review user suggestions for AccuWeather.com and work to implement these changes
    • Act as a general trouble-shooter for all web related projects
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Department for special promotions of products on AccuWeather.com

    Requirements:
    • Previous supervisory experience
    • 4 year degree
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work successfully under pressure with demanding goals and deadlines
    Assistant Director of Wireless Services: AccuWeather, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Wireless Services. You, along with other Wireless Team members, will assist in developing AccuWeather’s wireless business opportunities. Your duties will include business development, market research, and opportunity definition. This position is located in State College, PA.

    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with and serve as a liaison between internal departments (Sales, Marketing, and IT) and external partners in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and business models
    • Monitor the development and supply of content to partners’ mobile weather services
    • Provide support to the Sales team including participation at meetings with key clients and technical consulting
    • Assist with the development of business opportunities for new products and help ensure successful product development
    • Research trends in the wireless industry and the release of new devices to improve knowledge and help identify new opportunities

    Requirements:
    • Direct work experience within the wireless industry or prior experience in digital content
    • 4 year degree
    • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
    • Highly experienced with a variety of cell phones and PDAs
  7. SALES
  8. Regional Account Manager — Mobile Web Ad Sales: AccuWeather, Inc. has an outstanding opportunity to sell online advertising for AccuWeather.com's mobile website. The ideal candidate will:
    • Be located in the Eastern US (Pennsylvania to Connecticut)
    • Have a proven track record in media ad sales
    • Demonstrate willingness to work on all facets of the sales process, including interfacing with internal marketing and product development groups to properly position the product within the industry
    • Have experience working with advertising agencies and be comfortable negotiating deals that may cross various media platforms — television, online, and wireless
    • Be able to travel one to two weeks a month
    • Have a four year degree in business, finance, sales, marketing, communications, or other related fields
  9. SYSTEM OPERATIONS
  10. Mac Support Technician: We are looking for an experienced Macintosh technician to support Macintosh computers and servers for corporate staff and production environment, providing the highest level of customer service at all times.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Respond to and resolve high-priority support requests
    • Be available for support outside of normal work hours
    • Install, upgrade, and maintain software, hardware and peripherals
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
    • Troubleshoot network and remote access connectivity problems
    • Produce documentation as needed
    • Train end-users as needed
    • Assist other IT staff members as needed

    Successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Internet and networking protocols. 3 years related experience doing workstation/server support in a medium to large corporate environment. Experience with Windows and Unix is a plus. Other important skills include configuring and administering e-mail, Office products, file serving and backup solutions in a cross-platform environment. You should have a working knowledge of a broad area of hardware and networking issues, with experience in providing estimates and project planning. Excellent communication skills and an ability to respond to remote client needs is a must.
  11. SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
  12. Senior Programmer: This key member of our IT team will have strong PC programming skills with knowledge of Microsoft.NET, C++, and C#. A four-year computer science, or equivalent, degree is preferred; an advanced degree is desirable. Two to five years of successful experience is essential. This position is located in State College, PA.
